Statistician in charge
Dr. Njål Foldnes
Njål Foldnes holds a PhD in Mathematics. He is currently an Associate Professor in statistics at the Norwegian Business School and a adjunct professor at the Reading Centre. His main research interest is developing new statistical methodology for the social sciences, with particular emphasis on psychometrics. Also, he has published several empirical papers in educational science, focusing on new instruction methods in higher education.
The Reading Centre is home to several large, innovative research projects, and has regularly been awarded significant funding from nationally competitive research funding schemes.
Our research concerns language and literacy development and assessment in educational contexts, from kindergarten to workplaces.
Theoretically and methodologically the centre displays a broad fan of approaches to different aspects of literacy.
