Projects in the program area "Interfaces of reading and writing"
Associate Professor Anne Mangen is chair of COST E-Read, an action which main objective is to improve scientific understanding of the implications of the digitisation of reading. Hence, the action seeks to help individuals, disciplines, societies and sectors across Europe to cope optimally with the effects.
The digital literacy and multimodal practices of young children (DigiLitEY) will create an interdisciplinary network in Europe to examine how young children’s literacy development is being shaped by changes brought about by the digitisation of communication. The Action will enable researchers across COST countries collectively to synthesise existing research and identify gaps in knowledge. The Action will also build capacity by facilitating systematic exchange between established and early stage researchers across the network.
Associate Professor Trude Hoel represents the Reading Centre in this COST Action.
